San Clemente
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our San Clemente Chapter!
This chapter brings together local surfers, families, and ocean lovers to celebrate community and connection through our events and programs.
Whether you’re paddling out, volunteering, or just coming to say hello, we can’t wait to see you at the beach! Check us out at one of our monthly meetups.
Meet your chapter leaders, Sara & Jamie
Sara Kennedy grew up along the Southern California coast, she grew up in Manhattan Beach, then moved down to San Clemente in high school.
Sara spent several years in public service as a Park Ranger for the City of San Luis Obispo, then a full-time lifeguard for California State Parks at San Clemente and San Onofre State Beaches, where she combined her love of the ocean with her commitment to public safety. Today, she serves as the Boating and Water Safety Education and Outreach Coordinator for the State of California, helping communities across the state enjoy California’s waterways safely and responsibly.
When she’s not leading safety initiatives, Sara can be found adventuring with her husband—a dedicated waterman—and their two children, June and Raglan. Inspired by her daughter’s love of skateboarding, Sara joined GrlSwirl and discovered the power of girlhood all over again. Inspired by GrlSwirl, Sara founded MomshredHERs, a community of moms who skate, surf, and support each other through life.
Sara brings her trademark enthusiasm and sense of adventure to everything she does—on land, water, and wheels.
